Establishment of Goshu Kohsan (Bangladesh) Co., Ltd.

Business Context

Goshu Kohsan (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. established a local subsidiary in Bangladesh. It will be located in the Bangladesh Special Economic Zone (BSEZ), which is being developed jointly by Sumitomo Corporation and the Bangladesh Economic Zone Authority (BEZA).

Currently, labor-intensive industries such as garment are the mainstream in Bangladesh by utilizing low labor costs, while the country is trying to attract cutting-edge industries and shift to capital-intensive industries.

Under these circumstances, many special economic zones are being planned in Bangladesh, and it is expected that foreign companies, including Japanese companies, will enter the country in the future. The demand for highly processed pure water and ultrapure water will increase, and the need for wastewater treatment is consequently expected to increase.

As a Bangladesh-based company, we will mainly provide water treatment and wastewater treatment plants, environmental protection equipment, operation and maintenance services, and chemical supply services to meet the requirements of customers entering the Bangladesh market.
