Goshu Kohsan (Bangladesh) Co., Ltd. (Office: Narayanganj, Bangladesh; Managing Director: Mr. Hisashi Kina; hereinafter referred to as the “GKB”) (*1) is pleased to announce that GKB received an order for the Construction of the Centralized Water Treatment Plant (CWTP) and the Centralized Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) (1st phase) in the Bangladesh Special Economic Zone by Bangladesh SEZ Ltd. (Office: Narayanganj, Bangladesh; Managing Director: Mr. Taro Kawachi) (*2). This project is our first project in Bangladesh.
The treatment capacity is 3,000m3 per day for the CWTP and 2,400m3 per day for the CETP. The CWTP treats raw water taken from underground by Micro-Flock Filtration Method, and supplies purified water with better quality to BSEZ. The Highly Efficient Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) adopted for the CETP is applied higher discharge standard than Bangladesh National Standard, for conservation of the water environment in Bangladesh.
