On August 2nd, 2023, at Headquarters of Goshu Kohsan (Vietnam) Co., Ltd in Hanoi, Goshu Kosan (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (General Director: Dr. Hisato Takeda, Ph.D., P.E. Jp (Sanitary Engineering), hereinafter referred to as “GKV”) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strategic Business Partnership (hereinafter referred to as “MoU”) with Wintec Glovis Co., Ltd. (Headquarters in Korea, CEO: Mr. Sang Hoon Lee, hereinafter referred to as “WTG”) (＊1)
The purpose of this MoU is for promoting market exploitation and finding new business opportunities in Vietnam especially for wastewater treatment contained biodegradable persistent substance generated from chemical factories and machining factories, as well as highly coloured wastewater generated from dying factories, by utilizing WTG’s unique technologies such as Activated Carbon Regeneration Technologies; W-SSCS [Superheated Steam Carbon System], W-SCRS [Superheated Steam Carbon Regeneration System] and W-SFTR [Superheated Steam Filtration Transfer and Regeneration System].
Wastewater contained biodegradable persistent substance and highly coloured wastewater have been treated by ozonation, advanced oxidation process (AOP) or Fenton process, etc.
These processes however have some problems such as highly investment cost, highly operation cost, larger sludge generation amount etc. Activated carbon adsorption method was difficult to apply due to highly operation cost since regeneration of activated carbon was very difficult in Vietnam and had to be disposed. WTG’s activated carbon regeneration system is able to install with wastewater treatment plant to regenerate activated carbon on-site, not only ensures treated water quality but also greatly reduces the amount of waste through regeneration of activated carbon.
Since establishment in Vietnam in 2004, GKV, a leading EPC (*2) company in the field of construction of water and wastewater treatment plants in Vietnam having its headquarters in Hanoi, and its two branches in Ho Chi Minh and Danang, has designed and built more than 500 projects. GKV having many experiences of plant construction projects in Vietnam will create synergies and develop new business markets and customers by collaborating with WTG having unique technology.
