Goshu Kohsan (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Hanoi, Vietnam, General Director: Hisato Takeda Ph.D. – Doctor of Engineer, P.E. Jp (Sanitary Engineering), hereinafter referred to as “GKCV”) is pleased to announce that GKCV has just signed a memorandum of understanding (hereinafter referred to as “MoU”) with VNU Vietnam Japan University (Rector: Furuta Motoo, hereinafter referred to as “VJU”) at Hanoi, Vietnam, on November 3rd, 2021.

 

This MOU was created with the aim of promoting the strengths and capabilities of the parties, contributing to the process of improving the water environment by making efforts to train researchers and engineers in Vietnam through the mutual exchange of scientific and educational information between researchers, engineers and students.

Through this MoU, GKCV shall conduct research cooperation with the Master’s Program in Environmental Engineering (MEE), cooperate in enrolment, receive internships, organize company visit and visit sites which GKCV constructed, deliver special lectures on practical issues/experiences in seminars, offers job opportunities to MEE graduates, supports specialized technical seminar programs organized by MEE. MEE shall organize training courses for GKCV’s engineers and provide potential human resources in the field of Environmental Engineering.

Since establishment in Vietnam in 2004, GKCV has designed and built more than 450 water treatment and wastewater treatment plants with Headquarter in Hanoi, and two other bases in Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang. Recently, we are aware that there is a lack of researchers & engineers in the fields of water & wastewater treatment in Vietnam. Through this activity, GKCV wishes to contribute to the training of engineers in the field of environment and further to improve the water environment in Vietnam.

VNU Vietnam Japan University (VJU) was established symbolizing the friendly and cohesive relationship between the two countries Vietnam and Japan, opened the first course in September 2016. In collaboration with leading Japanese universities such as The University of Tokyo, Osaka University, University of Tsukuba, Yokohama National University, Waseda University, Ritsumeikan University, Ibaraki University, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi, aim to train talents international arena. Currently, the University has 8 Master’s programs and 2 Bachelor’s programs. VJU has implemented JICA’s technical cooperation project titled “Project for the Establishment of the Master Programs of Vietnam Japan University” since April 2015 and lasted for 5 years. Then, from April 2020, the university continues to implement “Project for the enhancement of education, research and university management capacity at Vietnam Japan University”.
